An adapter ring may be required to use a current cowl vent in the original collar. To determine if you need an adapter:
1. Measure the
outside diameter of the collar (outside edge to outside edge). If it is 5-1/2 in.
and...
2. your original vent snaps into the collar (and does not screw in)...
...you need to purchase the adapter ring.
