Auto Pilot Boot
This boot covers the below-deck arm fitting for the auto-pilot.
While each electrician installed these a bit differently, they all modified the small end of the boot to fit over the larger diameter shaft. Some cut an "x" around the existing hole, others used a hole saw to open it up. It was then secured with a hose clamp.
The end result should be tight enough to be water-resistant and keep insects out.
