Roloc TR Disc Pad - Pad Only, No Shank

1", 1-1/2" & 2" Backup Pad for Supporting Roloc Discs with TR Plastic Buttons

These rubber backing pads provide firm support for any abrasive or surface conditioning disc equipped with a Roloc TR threaded plastic button.
These include Scotch-Brite Roloc Abrasive Discs, Roloc Surface Conditioning Discs, as well as Roloc Bristle Discs and Roloc Clean & Strip Discs.
These pads have a 1/4"-20 internal thread which allows them to be mounted directly to tools with a 1/4"-20 external threaded shaft.
Or they can be used with a Roloc shank (MMM 45102, sold separately; see Related Products, below) to fit common collet chuck tools, such as drill motors.
Disc pads are available in different diameters and degrees of hardness for varying grinding applications
Use Medium density backup pads when using fine grit Roloc discs, for "surgical sanding", and where flexibility is needed for following contours
Use Hard backup pads for cutting and material removal applications
NOTE To avoid potential injury, use 3M Roloc TR discs ONLY with 3M Roloc Disc Pads.
The threaded cavity on the 3M pad is matched to the length of the 3M threaded TR stub, so the disc cannot overtighten during use and potentially separate from the stub and fly off.
