This upgraded replacement motor is used for Lewmar installations that are inside the pedestal, above deck, as shown.
The autopilot motor used on approximately 200 Hunters was notoriously prone to failure. Lewmar has since designed a replacement to provide more power and greater reliability. While the new motor does use a mounting adapter (included), Lewmar says it is a plug-and-play replacement.
