These stanchions are rare and inconsistent.
On some boats, each stanchion used is a slightly different size. Because they are extremely difficult to measure, we require a stanchion from your boat to copy.
Due to natural variations in hand-welded products, it may be necessary to bend the bail feet as much as 1/4 inch to match the existing mounting holes in the deck.
How to send us a stanchion: We can use the damaged stanchion if the damage is limited to the top. It is critical that the base is not bent or damaged in any way. If it is, please send us an undamaged stanchion from the other side of the boat, directly opposite the stanchion you wish to replace. This is important because some models have variable height gunnels and each stanchion is slightly different.
Once your order is placed, we will get back to you with the best ship to address.
Inside the box, include your name, address, phone, email, boat model, and the order number. Stanchions without this information can be lost.
Please note that the new stanchions will have two small holes near the base which are not on the originals. These make great drains and will help your new stanchions survive winters with less damage.
