Designed for low duty cycle applications, such as electrically contolled water valves. These solenoids are activated via an On-Off-On momentary switch and incorporate a set of permanent magnets which hold the plunger in the closed position, even when no power is being applied. Thus, depending on the polarity of the power applied, these solenoids remain in either the open or closed position, without the need for continuous power or its resulting heat production.
