When roller furlers are installed on boats with bow anchors or windlasses, it is sometimes necessary to use an extension link to raise the drum of the furler to clear the obstruction. A standard double jaw (fork/fork) toggle should always be fitted between the extension link and the forestay attachment of the boat in order to achieve proper articulation in all directions.
